With this discipline, the empath is able to heal diseases of the mind including insanity and phobias. All such afflictions are rated by the rank of the caster who inflicted the subject. If the insanity is natural, it is assumed to have a rank of 20 or higher.
  • Phobia - The empath must perform the ritual for 6 consecutive hours. His chance of success is 15% + (5 x rank) - (rank of phobia).
  • Insanity - The empath must perform the ritual for 18 consecutive hours. His chance of success is equal to the difference in rank between the empath and the insanity, plus 2 per rank with this ritual. If the ritual is unsuccessful, the insanity increases in rank by one.

Note that this ritual is capable of removing curses that affect the mind. Note also that even if the ritual fails, the GM may allow the target to temporarily healed of the mental affliction for a duration determined by the GM.
