This discipline allows the clairvoyant view a mental “snapshot image” of the past. The clairvoyant chooses a specific instance within the past 1 (+1/rank) hours (e.g., exactly 3 hours and 13 minutes ago) and, if successful with this discipline, will see an image in their mind of what the location looked like at that time. As a general rule, the image will be somewhat fuzzy and indistinct. The GM will roll percentile dice, and add 3% per rank with this talent, to see how fuzzy the image is. The fuzziness roll is applied to the static maneuver table. Absolute success indicates a clear image. Success indicates a slightly fuzzy image where the clairvoyant will be able to recognize those that they are familiar with and make out other objects. Failure indicates a fuzzy image where shapes can be made out (i.e., that shape is human, that is a horse, etc.). The fuzziness factor can be improved if the clairvoyant has a personal item from someone in the image. This bonus is +50% or +5/rank, whichever is higher.
Example: if the clairvoyant seeks an image that he is fairly certain includes a couple of his friends, he holds on to a couple of favored items from these friends to make their images clearer. Thus, if the fuzziness factor roll is 84 for the scene, it is 134 for the two friends, making them easily identifiable. |
