| This ritual allows the Clairvoyant to visually follow a creature or item back in time. The ritual takes 1 hour to perform, after which the Clairvoyant may scan the object for 10 minutes per rank. The Clairvoyant must concentrate on the desired creature or object for the entire duration. The Clairvoyant will receive a vision from the perspective of the target creature or object as he follows the event that took place around the target object or creature backwards through time. The vision will be very blurred beyond a few feet from the target of the spell. The Clairvoyant may send his vision backwards through time a number of days equal to (12 x (2^rank)) hours (i.e., 12 hours at rank 0, doubling every rank thereafter). Thus, at rank 6, the Clairvoyant could see a month into the past, about a year and a half at rank 10, 45 years at rank 15, etc. It takes about 10 minutes to thoroughly scan one day for significant events and even longer to slow the pace down to where such events may be thoroughly investigated. The Clairvoyant may run out of time before scanning back as far as he would like. |
