This ritual allows the Telepath to hide his true thoughts from spells and disciplines that allow the user to read minds. Instead of the Telepath’s true thoughts, the reader receives a pattern of thoughts that the Telepath has created as a screen. When initially establishing the discipline, the Telepath must concentrate on the false thoughts that he wants to erect. These thoughts can be as different from his true thoughts as he wishes. Magical means of trying to read the Telepath’s thoughts will automatically pick up the false thoughts. Only another Telepath is allowed a saving throw to penetrate the mask and perceive the true thoughts of the Telepath, and even then, the save is modified by 3 per level of difference.
At rank 11 and higher, the Telepath may use this discipline on another, willing entity (range is 5 feet). The ritual takes 1 hour to perform. |
