Every living creature is surrounded by an invisible aura that reflects their nature and relative power. A Clairvoyant is able to discern this aura although not without some effort. This ability is not automatic but must be concentrated upon. The player makes a die roll (d%) and adds 5% per rank with this ability and his Int bonus. Partial Success is all that is required to note the color of an aura.
  • Lawful: Blue
  • Neutral: Green
  • Chaotic: Purple
  • Good: Light
  • Evil: Dark

Near Success will reveal the character's approximate overall level while Success indicates exact level and most other events that affect the aura (curses, bonding, etc).

A second use for this talent is the ability to track an entity by its aura. The clairvoyant attempts an Aural Perception roll to note the aural trails around him. Seeing aural trails is more difficult than noting the aura of a creature, so the perception roll is made at -20 (this may be higher in high population areas). An additional -10 penalty is assessed for every hour that passed since the aural trail was made. However, the clairvoyant gains a +5 per level of the creature being tracked. Once the clairvoyant has made an aural tracking roll, he will need to make additional rolls every hour and every time the aura trail intersects other, fresher trails.

Use of this ability costs 1 mental point.
