| By using this discipline on a fire source such as a camp fire, the pyromancer causes anyone sitting around the fire, or otherwise glancing at the fire, to become "lost in thought" to the extent that they aren't paying attention to what is going on around them. The range of this effect from the fire source is 5 (+1 per rank) feet. A mental save is allowed against this discipline, but unless the target(s) specifically stop looking at the fire, their Perception is cut in half. If the save is made by half or better, the target(s) will know that they were the target of a spell/discipline. A target who fails his saving throw has his Perception reduced to zero for as long as the pyromancer maintains concentration, or until he passes out of range of the discipline. Any types of violent outside distractions will automatically negate the effects of this spell. |
