This special sense allows the Clairvoyant to simply 'know' where things are and what they look like within his area of effect. Cost is 1 mental point.
At rank 1, the Clairvoyant may use this sense out to a range of 5 feet with a perception bonus equal to his PER bonus. (Note: perception rolls are only required to note things that are not obvious. A perception roll would not be required to notice a couch, but would be required to notice some coins under the cushions.) For every rank achieved with this talent, the Clairvoyant may extend his range by 10 feet, or his perception bonus by 5%, or any combination thereof.
For example, at rank 10, the Clairvoyant could 'know' where all obvious objects and creatures are within 105 feet, or he may gain a perception bonus of 50 (plus INT bonus) within 5 feet, allowing him to read a book without opening it, or anything him between.
A Clairvoyant cannot be surprised by anything within his range as long as he is conscious and able to perceive the danger. |
