Description
Golothan Medium Draft horses are native to the eastern Emerald Sea and are often caught and tamed by Rancheros from Golotha. They are used almost exclusively as draft horses and almost never as riding horses.

Usual height: 16 hands
Usual weight: 1,400 to 1,600 pounds

Main characteristics: Coat color ranging from light brown to dark chestnut; long, chestnut mane and tail; broad chest; a wide, strong back; muscular legs; and tough, hard hooves.

There is not a lot of variety of coat colors and patterns among Golothan Medium Drafts. Many are brown, though some have coats in lighter or darker shades of reddish borwn. Pinto Golothans are extremely rare.

Golothan Medium Drafts are welcomed for their even temperament, willingness to work, and eagerness to please. Used almost exclusively as draft horses or packhorses, Golothan Medium Drafts work long and hard - for 30 years or more.

Note: 1 "hand" = 4 inches. Horses and ponies are measured at the withers (the ridge between the shoulder bones). Ponies measure under 14.2 hands when fully grown. Horses stand over 14.2 hands when fully grown.
Talents, Skills and Magic
Combat
Horses can be combat trained by an Animal Trainer. Max rank with combat training is equal to the horse's INT x 2.

Weight Allowance
Full Speed: 260 lbs (30 miles per day)
Half Speed: 390 lbs (15 miles per day)
Quarter Speed: 520 lbs (8 miles per day)

Horses spend a lot of time grazing and eating. Thus, a heavily burdened horse moving at quarter speed, is spending a lot of time resting and grazing throughout the day and not a lot of time on the road.
