Blue Mountain
Blacksmith
Blacksmith skill allows the character to make and repair metal items such as horseshoes, metal wagon axles and metal weapons. Weapons that are a combination of wood and metal require either two craftsmen, a woodcrafter and a blacksmith, or one person with both skills.

A blacksmith must have the appropriate tools to make and repair metal items. These include a forge, hammer, anvil, tongs, etc.

At level 15, a blacksmith can fashion metal Weapons of Quality. For weapons that use both metal and wood, he can fashion the metal parts of the weapon. With the right metal, he can create magical weapons. This also requires the right tools. Normal blacksmith tools won't allow a blacksmith to work mithril, adamantium, or other magical metals.

From Blue Mountain turn 3.4 (Second Scout Wand Plot)

GM: Yes, Isell can make weapons of Quality. To make a hand axe of excellent (+1) quality will require 100 sp worth of materials and a successful Construct Metal Item roll. Success indicates a +1 weapon. If he wants to make a superior weapon (+2), it will require 200 sp worth of materials and the roll is at -30. Partial or Near Success indicate more time required (not an issue since you have all winter). Failure indicates that more time and materials are required (10-60% of materials used up with Failure, 20-80% with Absolute Failure and all with Blunder; roll 1d6 x 10 for Failure and 2d4 x 10 for Absolute Failure).
