This gift allows the werewolf to sense the presence of spirits, undead, demons and devils. Use of this ability costs 1 Gnosis point. Duration and range are dependent on rank. Chance to Detect roll is based on rank and number of levels of creatures.

Chance to Detect roll is equal to ((PER - 15) x 3) + (Rank x 8) + Combined Levels. For example, a rank 3 werewolf with a 20 PER would have a 49% bonus to detect a level 10 wraith.

The werewolf need not be concentrating to use this ability. However, if he does concentrate by closing his eyes and tuning out everything going on around him, he can extend his range by 50% and gains a +10 bonus to his Chance to Detect roll.

When the Chance to Detect roll is made, compare the result to the following table. Note that the GM should make this roll.
  • Absolute Success - Creature type, distance and direction are learned. If number of creatures is 10 or less, exact number is learned. Otherwise number is learned to within 15% accuracy.
  • Success - Creature type is learned. Distance is learned with plus or minus 25% accuracy. Approximate direction is learned (creatures to the NW might register as being to the N or NW). Number of creatues is learned to within 25% accuracy.
  • Near Success - Approximate creature type is learned (wraith might be a wraith, spectre or ghost). Distance is learn with plus or minus 50% accuracy. Very rough direction is learned. Number of creatures is not learned.
  • Partial Success - Creature class (undead, demon or devil) is learned. Distance, direction and number of creatures not learned.
  • Failure - Nothing learned.
  • Absolute Failure - As Near Success except that the information is wildly inaccurate.
  • Blunder - As Success except that the information is wildly inaccurate.
