Werewolves in Lupus or Hispo form have the equivalent of rank 1 in this Gift without the need to take the gift and do not need to spend Gnosis to use it. However, if they want to use the ability in any form other than Lupus or Hispo, or want to gain the benefits of rank 2 or higher, they must buy the gift.
Rank 1
- Spend 1 Gnosis to use normal Tracking skill to track by scent (in addition to tracking by sight). This will often give the character two chances for any tracking roll. The effect lasts for 1 hour.
Rank 2
- As above but the character gains a +15 bonus when tracking by scent and the effect lasts for 2 hours for one point of Gnosis.
Rank 3
- As above but the character gains a +30 bonus when tracking by scent and the effect lasts for 4 hours for one point of Gnosis.
Rank 4
- By spending 1 Gnosis, the character's sense of smell becomes a "targeting" sense, allowing them to target opponents in hand to hand combat or at distances of up to 15 feet. Their sense of smell is fully as accurate as their sense of sight at this range. They can distinguish individual scents and determine who is who based solely on scent. The effect lasts for 30 minutes.
Rank 5
- As rank 4 but the effect lasts for 1 hour and effective range increases from 15 feet to 60 feet.
