Singing
A singer is skilled with their voice. Bonus for singing is 5% per rank, plus CON bonus. Singers are familiar with a wide variety of songs. The chance that a singer knows a particular song (assuming that it is moderately well known) is 4% per rank, plus Know bonus. The GM may assign modifiers for particular well-known or particularly obscure songs.

Reading/Writing – A musician must be able to read and write a language at rank 6 or higher to become a songwriter. Without this prerequisite, the Singer may still progress in rank beyond 7th, but will not learn Songwriting until he learns to read and write at rank 6 or higher.

Renown - As you gain rank, you also gain renown. Base chance that someone has heard of you is equal to rank x 3%, plus the person’s Courtesan rank x 2%. The GM may also include modifiers. This assumes that you have performed fairly regularly in that city.

Making a Living – You can make a living in a city large enough to support performing artists. Monthly income (30 day months) is equal to (rank x rank) silver pieces.

Rank 8 – At rank 8, the singer is also a songwriter. Bonus for writing songs is 6% per rank above 7th, plus Int/Know bonus. He can write songs that include multi-part harmonies for small groups (5 or less singers). He is also a conductor for singing groups only. He can conduct anything from small groups to large vocal ensembles. He can only conduct singers, not musicians. Bonus for conducting is 5% per rank, plus Perception bonus

Rank 12 – At rank 12, the singer/songwriter can write songs for large groups (up to 15 musicians).

Rank 15 – At rank 15, the singer/songwriter can write songs for an ensemble of any size.
