Rule Category:Equipment
Rule Name:Damaging and Repairing Armor
When an armored target is hit with a successful grievous, the protection value of his armor decreases by 1 until repaired.

The cost to repair armor is indicated below. Cost is per point of protection being repaired. The cost assumes that the character takes the armor to a skilled craftsman (leather worker or armorer). If taken to a mage, it can be repaired faster but will usually cost more.
  • A rank 10 cantrip can be used to repair non-magical leather armor while a rank 12 cantrip can repair magical leather armor. A mage will usually charge 100 silver to fix non-magical leather armor, 200 for magical leather armor.
  • A rank 1 Mending spell can be used to repair non-magical leather armor while a rank 5 Mending spell can repair magical leather armor. The cost is usually the same as for a cantrip.
  • Only a Patch spell can magically fix any armor other than leather. A mage will generally charge about 1200 silver per point being fixed. This requires the services of a Shaper (NPC mage college).
