Scrolls of protection emulate circles of protection (c.f. Circles of Protection) except that they require only a single round to read. A scroll of protection can be read by someone with knowledge of the language of Sorcery using the chance for reading a GK spell. It can also be read by someone with a Read Magic spell active.
The following characteristics apply to all circles:
- Area of Effect - 20 ft diameter. Everyone in the circle is protected.
- Duration - 6d10 minutes
- Movement - A character can move at a walk or run (2x TMR) and still maintain a circle of protection. Any faster and they outrun the circle and it dissipates.
