KCKC: Well with 4 opponents on the owlbear and really no offensive spells that will work in this situation, he will stay on the Star sprite and keep on eye on the situation and watch for other creatures entering the small clearing.

TyraTYRA: Tyra grimaced at the critical hit. She uttered a prayer to Tyr and continued to strike back at the creature.

TECH: I incorporated +10 for the faerie fire. I believe I don't get the +5 bless bonus since I was already engaged in melee.

Barnas drops down to the ground and looks for a way to attack the owlbear but is hampered by the dense vegetation around the owlbear and is unable to attack without hampering his allies. He holds back and is ready to move up should one of his friends fall or step back.

Martin, Lani and Tyra continue to attack the raging creature. Martin misses, Lani hits with a pair of critical hits and Tyra hits with another critical hit. The owlbear is now bloodied but as ferocious as ever. It hits Tyra with another critical hit for 22 damage. It hits Lani for 1 damage after PROT and bites Martin for 17 damage after PROT.

Tyra has 1 HP remaining. Martin has 5 HP remaining.

Syl attacks from the second rank with her spear and hits for a small amount of damage.

Shaarilla attempts to cast a Frost Bolt but fails.

Morty and KC remain on the Star Sprite watching for other threats. Both happen to glance upwards into the trees aft of the Star Sprite and see some very large bugs. KC is not sure what they are but Morty believes they are giant ticks and could be very dangerous if they decide to attack. He sees three of them but there could be more.

Martin and Tyra, knowing that they cannot take another hit, attempt to back away from the monster. Barnas assists by stepping forward. Martin is able to safely disengage but Tyra is not as the owlbear stays with her. Fortunately Barnas is able to smash in the owlbear's head with a grievous hit. The owlbear drops to the ground motionless.

One of the giant ticks starts descending towards the group.

Knowing that they cannot handle another battle, the group quickly returns to the Star Sprint. Lani and Syl assist the badly wounded Martin and Tyra aboard. Shaarilla vaults into the pilot seat of the Star Sprite as another tick begins to descend. She feeds power into the helm and ascends as quickly as she can.

Suddenly the first tick leaps towards KC but misses. It lands on the deck nearby.

After helping Martin and Tyra aboard, Syl moves to the astrogator seat.

KC slashes at the tick with both knives, seriously wounding it. The tick leaps off the deck and into the trees.

The Star Sprite is rising quickly. Too quickly. Shaarilla hits a couple of heavy branches in her rush to get out of the jungle. She takes a deep breath and forces herself to remain calm. She ascends the rest of the way out of the jungle into the clear warm air above Telemore. A glance around reveals no other spelljammers in sight. With luck Brute Force did not or could not readily follow the group.

GM: Let me know what you want to do. It is clear to the group that the jungle of Telemore is a dangerous place - too dangerous to simply set down and rest for the night.

GM: I forgot to mention this before but, on the 20 minute trip from Spelljammer to Telemore, Morty checked the water tanks of the Star Sprite and found them bone dry.
