BarnasBARNAS: The wings, the noise, the chaos. He could hear what the others were saying but all his attention was on the monster before him. He grinned wide as he one again scored a hit while remaining untouched

KCKC: watching Lani decide to stay and fight the zombie with me instead of leavng to get a skeletal opponent, one better suited to her attacks. "Lani, go ahead and start moving towords the skeletons and I'll go with you."

LANI: "Let's finish off this guy and then move to help the others."

KC: He use slashing attacks on the zombie and will move with the combat hopefully.

MartinMARTIN: Sees and hears Syl yell about attacking the zombie, so he stays with the skeleton, despite his nice shiny new sword not having that much effect…

MortyMORTY: "Flabnastical mistoleffen zeitmunchausen," I curse as the jostling of combat has the bad timing to make my last shot miss. "Ah well, at least the bullies have toughened me up a bit, I can survive quite some time against this thing. Let me know if you need me to lure him away from the mix to allow you to switch targets more smoothly."

MORTY TECH: Full parry, should be +8% to defense, no attacks. I would consider Desperate Defense since I don't mind the enemy 'moving me' up to 10 feet in any direction but it's possible that it could force me to interfere with my comrades so I won't.
LaniLANI: Lani considers changing position to find a foe against which her weapons will be more effective but that would leave KC to fight it alone. She says nothing and continues to attack, using weapons kata.

ShaarillaSHAARILLA: Shaarilla feels guilty about running from the fight, and she feels useless that she can’t help. She knows that she is just a rank beginner at archery, and is nowhere near good enough to try firing into a melee. She would be more likely to hit her companions than the undead…

SHAARILLA(OOC): Sorry about running from the fight making things more difficult for everyone else, but Shaarilla is really really bad with fights.

SHAARILLA(GM): Ray of Cold says in its description that it does not work on undead. But for future reference, can a spell like that be used into a melee without risking hitting of allies? Since it’s magic, I could see that going either way...


GM: I just read the description and, as written, it could accidentally affect a different target. However, I think I will change it a bit, maybe call it a Bolt of Frost and then it can only affect the target.
SylSYL: Will use 5' free move to slide over and attack the Zombie; still slashing.

TECH: Init [rolled 6], SC [rolled 64-11 = 53 - Hit DEF 53 or less], Damage [rolled 8], Threat [rolled 83]
TyraTYRA: Tyra was mildly surprised by the new opponent but shifted her stance cooly, focusing her attention on the bony arrival. Worried about her friends being overwhelmed with the undead, she pushed her attack in hopes to finish this undead quickly.

TECH: Hard Attack - Init: [rolled 12], Attack: [rolled 87-23 = 64 - Hit DEF 64 or less], Damage [rolled 8], Threat: [rolled 63], NL Damage: [rolled 1 2 2 - Total: 5]

KC and Lani continue to attack the same zombie. KC misses with his attacks while Lani hits but her crushing attacks are less effective than slashing attacks would be. However, the critical hit makes up for it. The zombie hits Lani for 3 damage after PROT.

Barnas hits his skeletal opponent again with a solid hit, cracking more bones. The skeleton misses him.

Tyra is now outnumbered 2 to 1 and shifts her focus to attack the skeleton, against which her club is more effective. She hits with a solid blow. The skeleton misses her but the zombie hits her for 6 damage after PROT.

Syl moves over to attack the zombie on Morty, avoiding a parting blow from her previous skeletal opponent. She hits with a solid blow that destroys the already damaged zombie.

Martin hits Syl's prior skeletal foe with his longsword, not the best weapon against skeletons but he still manages to do some damage. Martin gets hit for 4 damage after the PROT afforded by his Armor spell.

Over the course of the round, two more undead shuffle into the battle. A zombie shuffles out of the west passage and moves up to attack Barnas, hitting for 4 damage after PROT. A skeleton shuffles out of the east passage and moves up on Lani to attack but misses.

GM: Go ahead and send your actions for round 5. One zombie was destroyed this round (by Syl).
