GM: I'm mainly waiting for a turn from KC to see if he wants to continue to open containers and whether he is going to check for traps (takes 1d4 rounds to check) before opening each chest. The next closest chest does not appear to have a lock on it.

KCKC: I will use magic perception to check over the 2 chests already open and wait to open the next til the skeletons are dispatched and group agrees that we should try. My thoughts on them so far are that one chest equals one skeleton and the two equaled 2 skeletons ... A does three equal 3 skeletons and if so is there a even bigger and badder skeleton in here if we open up enough chests.

GM: Actually, only one chest has been opened so far. You opened one chest on round one, which triggered the attack. At the very end of round 1, 2 more skeletons appeared. I will assume you still want to use Power Perception on round 2.

KC: heck if I am looking them over again I might as well look at the bottom of the open chests and for secret compartments.

GM: That normally takes a bit longer but I will factor in a short look (taking only 1 round) when I make the roll.

This round, KC uses a spell point for power perception and looks over the chest he already opened. The chest radiates magic at level 1 (out of 4). KC quickly scans the inside of the chest for secret compartments but does not find any. However, he knows that it was a very quick look and may easily missed one.
