KCKC: At this point I feel that I can affect more opponents at one time doing this than actually getting into the fight with daggers. He cast a Hold Person on the scro. Range 50 ft, duration 10 rnds, affect 4 Scro, cast time 7, cost 2. [rolled 7] [rolled 7 vs cast chance of 45 - Critical Success!!]. I will target two on Martin and two more 2 behind them that are not engaged in melee. For a total of 4 Scro.

KC: (GM) after rereading the spell. Even the scro that make the save may still be affected. They can only move two limbs at a time with penalties to either combat or movement depending on if they choose arms or legs. Then if they make the save by 1/2 or less there are no affects.
MartinMARTIN: Continues to press the attack against the Scro.

MortyMORTY: I open the door at the very beginning of the round, hoping to get a decent assessment of what's going on, and find a scro standing stock still and bleeding from his wounds. Another is standing stock still just beyond, apparently held or paralyzed in some way. I will take aim at the fresh one that is unmoving and try to end him before he can wake up.

MORTY (GM): I couldn't find any modifiers or special rules on the site about attacking a held/paralyzed/"helpless" target, so I'm just using normal strike chance. I know 'stationary' is a +10 but that seems like a small bonus against something that can't even dodge instinctively or defend in any way. Hopefully the fact that they're not mixing it up with Martin negates my chance to hit him with my pistol in melee. Please advise of the enemy's general armament, particularly the armor.

MORTY TECH: Shoot Scro 22, and unless it very badly wounds him I will shoot again this round.

LaniLANI: Lani continues to attack while trying to get closer to the door. The wall of darkness blocking the cargo hold might have come from Syl but it might also have come from a mage working with the scro. She will use Acrobatics to try to dodge aft while fighting the scro. Acrobatics [rolled 82 (Partial Success)]

SylSYL: Is very upset that two Scro decided to attack her! She will draw her sword and attack the nearest Scro.

LOWER LEVEL (Female Battle)

Lani hits twice as she tries to make her way aft, killing the scro. Another one steps up as a couple more manage to get through the Wall of Darkness. She is attacked by three scro and one manages to hit for 1 damage after PROT.

Tyra hits scro 5 twice, killing it. Another scro steps forward to fill its place. Two scro attack Tyra both they both miss.

More scro pour down the stairs and attack Shaarilla, Syl and Tyra. Syl is missed. Shaarilla barely gets her spell off (using 3 spell pool points) and hits the charging scro for 25 damage. It is badly wounded but still attacks. It misses. Tyra gets hit for 2 damage after PROT. Syl hits her opponent for 6 damage.


UPPER LEVEL (Male Battle)

KC casts another Hold Person at four targets. His critical success means each will save at -10. The two on Martin both make their save by half, even at -10. The other two both fail their saves. They and the other two who failed their saves are pushed roughly to the side or trampled over by more scro charging forward. One reaches KC by the end of the round and attacks, hitting for 6 damage. More charge down the stairs.

Morty opens his door and sees a hallway filled with scro including some who are not moving and have been pushed aside or to the ground. He sees Martin fighting a couple of them just outside the doorway. The entire battle is completely silent. Morty takes aim at one of the fallen (held) scro and shoots but misses, perhaps unnerved by all of the rushing scro. He tries again with the same result.

GM: Hitting a held target is pretty simple but an auto miss is still an auto miss.

Martin hits a wounded scro twice, killing it. The scro miss Martin.

GM: Everyone can send me a die roll. You want low.
