As the battle begins, crossbows have been distributed to crew members whose job is to fight off the attackers (as opposed to tending the ship). Powder monkeys (general 12-15 year old boys) have distributed barrels of crossbow bolts around the deck where crossbowmen are stationed. When they see that some of the group are using bows, they also distribute arrows into barrels located near them. In game terms, don't worry about keeping track of arrows for this battle.

KCKC: find someplace to take cover because they still have to ½ this distance to get into a good range for me.

KC: I am still looking for two of them to get within 15 feet off each other to cast a counterintelligence on. So I guess I am still holding my action from round 1.

MortyMORTY (GM): Thank you for your consideration on the traps. I never saw an answer to this other question but it seems like my understanding of the enemy tactics was flawed, I didn't realize they were still circling closer and closer. Given that and the info on my ammo being replenished by the Powder Monkeys I will fire my new magical crossbow twice in round 1, and again in round 2. Do they have smaller crossbow bolts in my size though?

GM: Yes, they have crossbow bolts that will work for your crossbow.

MORTY TECH: Strike chance is base 135, -55 for range, but +15 to offset range penalties from my Master Bowman. If they come closer before I fire the penalty is reduced further.

Shaarilla successfully casts a Barrier of Wind spell on herself, increasing her DEF to 41 vs melee and 50 vs ranged.

Tyra hits her target with 2 psychic crush attacks hitting both time. The second is a grievous hit.

GM: I don't see a threat roll for her attacks, so go ahead and send a roll to see if the grievous confirms (30% chance). In any case, the ice kral is allowed a save. The save is normal against the first attack and -10 against the second attack, unless it confirms, in which case it is -20. His first save is successful and his second is a failure (regardless of modifier).

TYRA (GM): Yeah, I'll modify my rolls going forward to include the threat roll.
