TYRA (GM): Tyra would like to push her way down the hallway and engage Scro 34. With Scro 27 being badly wounded, can she get past him? Also, does she sense that Scro 27 is a better warrior than the others or did he just get lucky hitting her last round?

GM: He does not seem any more skilled than the others Tyra has fought. You can send a DEX roll with your turn to try to get past him.

TYRA: DEX roll to get past Scro 27 [rolled 8 vs. DEX 18, MADE BY HALF!]

GM: You can get past him. You can do a 5 foot free move and get your normal attacks, or move further and lose an attack.





KCKC: I will hold my action unless I am able to get past Morty on the ladder somehow.

KC: on second thought, I will attempt to move around Morty to reach the bottom of the stairs.

KC: dex roll of [rolled 50 vs. DEX 24, 3x roll] or acrobatics roll of [rolled 110 (Near Success)].


GM: If you want to use a Luck point to add 5 to your Acrobatics roll, making it full success, then you are able to get past Morty and still get one attack in. You will need to return to normal size (or smaller) to be able to do this. If you go smaller, then you don't need to use a Luck point as I will give you a bonus of +5 to your acrobatics roll for being more compact.

KC: I will "go smaller" and shrink my self down to 4 ½ feet tall to move past Morty and to the bottom of the ladder and strike out at Scro 35 or which ever one is closest.

KC: I will say! "Morty, Coming through on your right!" Expecting to hear nothing but I gotta try anyways.

GM: You hear nothing. In any case, this was acrobatics. My assumption is that you leaped up and forward and swung down past them. Most shipboard "ladders" have rails and overhead grab bars that are ideal for use with Acrobatics.

Attack 1: Init [rolled 9] attack [rolled 105-66 = 39 - Hit DEF 39 or less] dmg [rolled 5] ap30 [rolled 59] th38 [rolled 34]

KC: (GM) The size change will have these effects. -2 ST, +1 DEX (back to normal 25 dex) DMG is 75% of normal, HP is lowered by 15%, DEF is at +5 and last but not least is TMR is -2 or 73.
MartinMARTIN: Will try to get around Morty, if possible and attack the nearest real Scro

MARTIN: Dex roll if necessary to get past Morty. [rolled 71 vs. DEX 18, 4x roll]

MARTIN: Attacks, if possible:

MortyMORTY: Having done what I can for now, I will simply try to get out of the way of the more capable melee combatants. Once KC vaults past me I will attempt to make room for Martin as well, exchanging places with him with a 5-ft free move if I can, or letting him hit me with a free attack if I must to make it happen.
LaniLANI: Lani attempts to find a weakness in the scro's armor [rolled 89 (Partial Success)].

GM: Scro has 1 LOW so result is 84, which is still Partial Success. Scro's PROT is reduced by 1.

ShaarillaSHAARILLA: Shaarilla continues to struggle against the pirate. She might not be able to hurt him, but she can at least try to block his away two of the ship controls.

SHAARILLA: Attack with +1 Quarterstaff

SHAARILLA (OOC): She must’ve accidentally poked him in the eye with the tip of her quarterstaff… No way she got such a good blow deliberately...

GM: Ok, I can modify the turn accordingly - "after accidentally poking the scro in the eye, Shaarilla leaps forwards and says, 'sorry, I didn't mean to poke you in the eye. I was trying to bash you over the head. Are you all right?'"
SylSYL: Facing more "real" Scro, plus the leader, Syl decides to fire a Spark Shower from her Ring of Shooting Stars at Scro #20, 33, and 34 (she would love to take a shot at #21 but that would almost certainly hit Sharilla as well)

SYL: Init [rolled 9], Damage [rolled 6 3 - Total: 9]

GM: If you are aiming it down the hall, it will also get 27, 16, 30 and Tyra as well and may also get 31. Also, the scro are wearing leather armor, not metal armor so damage is only 2d8 (I changed your damage above). It's probably worth catching Tyra in the area to also get her opponents.


SYL: Full 4d8 to clear out the Scro (I hope)

SYL: Damage [rolled 5 4 2 8 - Total: 19]

GM: As Syl is contemplating using her Ring of Shooting Stars, it suddenly occurs to her that, with the silence field, she will be unable to utter the command word to make it work. (Sorry, this suddenly occurred to me yesterday evening. Everyone is currently in the silence field and invoked magic items almost always required a command word to invoke.)


SYL: she wants to help sharilla but can she get there or is the Scro in the way?

GM: She will need to take care of scro 20 first. Syl can see that Tyra is fighting her way towards the bridge, and Lani is a bit further back.

SYL: Frustrated by the Silence Field (it moved with the lead Scro is my guess??) she attacks #20

SYL: Init [rolled 6], Attack [rolled 110-64 = 46 - Hit DEF 46 or less], Damage [rolled 4 3 (+4)- Total: 11], Threat, [rolled 85]
TyraTYRA: Tyra moves past Scro 27 towards the bridge and engages Scro 34. Normal attack with -5 initiative mod included.

Attack 1 (Giant Basher) - Init: [rolled 5], Attack: [rolled 113-78 = 35 - Hit DEF 35 or less], Damage [rolled 13], Threat: [rolled 28]

FIGHT ON THE BRIDGE

Shaarilla manages to get a critical hit on scro 21 and hits him for 12 damage after LOW. Unfortunately, the scro hits Shaarilla twice for a total of 14 damage.

Syl hits scro 20 for 6 damage. The scro misses Syl.


BATTLE ON THE LADDER

KC uses acrobatics skill and conveniently placed grab rails to vault past Morty to the bottom of the stairs and attack scro 35. He hits but for no damage. Scro 35 and 31 both attack KC. Scro 35 hits when KC is trying to avoid the other scro's weapon. KC takes 4 damage.

GM: It would have been a miss except that it got a bonus for KC's low Range of Field skill.

Morty takes advantage of the fact that his opponent is now engaged with KC and he steps back, allowing Martin to move up and attack. Martin stumbles a bit as he dodges forward but still manages to get in a critical hit on scro 35 that causes 28 damage and kills him.


BATTLE IN THE PASSAGEWAY

Tyra shrugs past scro 27 and moves up to attack scro 34, who turns to face her. Scro 16 and 27 both get free attacks on Tyra. Tyra gets hit once for a total of 9 damage. Tyra hits scro 34 (barely) for 8 damage. By the end of the round. scro 30 has moved up behind Tyra and attacked, but missed.

Also by the end of the round, scro 8 has moved up to join scro 31 in attacking KC and Martin. Scro 8 focuses his attack on Martin, but misses.

Meanwhile, at the aft end of the passage, Lani continues to attack scro 2, who is clearly a better warrior than the other scro she has encountered. Lani finds a small weakness in his armor. She hits once and misses with her second attack, doing a total of 2 damage to scro 2. However, both the the scro miss her with their attacks.

GM: Updated map to follow. A silence field continues to cover the entire battle. Go ahead and send your round 13 actions.
