If this +2 arrow (+10 SC, +2 Dmg) hits the target, it does normal damage as well as dispelling all spells currently active on the target. Note that the damage need not penetrate PROT for the dispel magic effect to take effect. The arrow will not dispel curses but will generally dispel any and all currently active spells on the target.
Note that spells in effect at the time the arrow hits will have their normal effect (for example, if the target has a Stoneskin spell active, the arrow will not do damage) but will be dispelled immediately after the arrow hits.
The arrow is a single use item whose magic is gone once fired, whether it hit its intended target or now.
Arrows of Dispelling Magic can be found individually or in bundles of 1d4, at the GM's discretion. |
