This +3 arrow (+15 strike chance, +3 damage) requires 3 days to attune during which time it must remain in the quiver of the person who wishes to attune to it. In addition to its magical properties, the arrow has two other properties:
  • Location - Once per day, the arrow can be tossed into the air to show the direction to one of the following: stairway, sloping passage, dungeon exit, dungeon entrance, cave, cavern. The owner must declare what he is looking for. This process can be repeated up to 7 times over the next 70 minutes. The request can be phrased by distance (nearest, farthest, highest, lowest) or by direction (north, south, east, west). Examples include:
    • "Show me the nearest stairs leading up."
    • "Show me the nearest cave to the north of me."
    • "Show me the closest passage leading down."
  • Return - The arrow will magically return to the owner's quiver 1d4 rounds after being fired. This means of returning uses teleportation where the arrow disappears from where it hit/landed and reappears in the quiver, as long as the quiver is still on the same plane of existence as the arrow and still in the possession of the owner.
