Up to four people can attune to the Clockwork Carrier Pigeon.
On the bird's back is a tiny canister. Any one of the four attuned people can write a message to insert into the canister and then send it to one of the other attuned people. The bird travels at a speed of 100 MPH and can find the person provided they are not obscured by magic (Wall of Force, COP from Detection, etc.). If the bird cannot reach the target, it will attempt to reach a secondary target, determined by the sender. Basically, the sender determines first, second and third choice to receive the message. If the bird cannot reach any of them, it will return to the sender.
In any case, the target cannot be more than 2500 miles from the sender. |
