This soft leather boots, crafted from deerskin, have pronounced heels and thick soles. They have several functions:
- Concealed Lockpicks - A concealed compartment in the heel contains a Swiss army knife-type tool containing multiple lockpicks of varying sizes and lengths. Each heel contains such a tool as complex locks require two lockpicks to open. The lockpicks provide a +10 bonus to Open Locks rollls. The false heels will pass even the most minute of visual inspections. Only when the command word "kyma" is spoken while the heel is being touched will the compartment open.
- Stealth - The boots add +10 to the wearer's Move Silently bonus.
- Levitation - Once per day, the wearer can levitate for up to (MA x 2) rounds at a rate of 20 feet per round. The may ascend, descend or hover in place. At the end of the duration, if the wearer is above the ground, they will fall.
- Movement - +10 TMR.
As with most magical clothing and boots, these boots are especially weather resistant, keeping feet dry in the rain and warm in the cold.
Those with Open Locks skill gain a bonus of +1% per rank of the skill to their chance to attune to these boots. |
