This open-faced mithril helm allows any fighter who is specialized in a class of weapons to be able to use a second class of weapons with equal skill. If the character is specialized (or double specialized) in a single weapon, they can choose a second weapon to be equally skilled in.
In game terms, the wearer chooses a second class of weapons and is considered specialized in them at a rank equal to their rank with their main class of weapons. Thus, a fighter who is specialized in All Swords can choose to also be specialized in All Missile Weapons.
Additionally, they may use any weapon that they are not otherwise skilled in as if they were rank 6 in the weapon.
