A Storm Arrow is not intended to be fired at a living target but is instead designed to be shot into low hanging clouds, causing a thunderstorm that will last for 6d6 minutes. The storm will begin manifesting the following round and get progressively worse over the next few rounds until it is a full fledged thunderstorm.
If fired into the air when there are not low hanging clouds, consult the table below to determine if a storm is conjured.
- Cloudy day (but not low hanging clouds) - Chance of conjuring a storm is equal to 50% + (bow rank x 5).
- Partially cloudy day (66%+ cloud cover) - Chance of conjuring a storm is equal to 40% + (bow rank x 4).
- Partially cloudy day (33-65% cloud cover) - Chance of conjuring a storm is equal to 30% + (bow rank x 3).
- Partially cloudy day (Less than 33% cloud cover) - Chance of conjuring a storm is equal to 20% + (bow rank x 2).
- Clear day - Chance of conjuring a storm is equal to 10% + bow rank.
Storm arrows can be found individually or in bundles of 1d4, at the GM's discretion.
If a Storm Arrow is fired at a target, it is treated as a +1 arrow (+5 SC, +1 Dmg). |
