This spell is similar to a Battle Blessing except that it can affect up to 1 target per rank, granting them 1 Luck point (c.f., Characteristics - Luck). If the Luck point is not used before the spell duration ends, it is lost. Note that no target can gain more than 1 Luck point. For example, if the cleric is rank 7 but there are only 6 allies within range, then each of the six will gain 1 Luck point and the final potential target is lost.
This spell cannot increase the target's current Luck points beyond 3. If the target already has 3 or more Luck points (due to high Luck, etc.), the spell has no effect.
Note that Luck points are actually not a player concept so characters are not aware of them. However, a cleric who has prayed for this spell will understand who can benefit from the spell. They will basically know if potential targets have 0 or 1 Luck points currently available. |
