A Blast of Carnage causes damage to all living creatures. The blast is a cone that originates at the caster and spreads out 10 feet per level. The terminus of the cone is 2 feet per level. A rank 7 caster (which is the minimum rank of the cleric who can cast this spell) will create a cone that is 70 feet long with a terminus of 14 feet in diameter. The caster can either elect to have the cone go for the entire distance, or they can designate a target within range and the cone will terminate there, hitting the target in the exact center of the cone.
All creatures caught in the blast suffer as if hit by a Cause Light Wounds (2d8 points of damage). Undead, golems, plants and other non-living entities are immune to this spell. There is no saving throw vs this spell but anyone under the effect of a Bless or Protection from Evil will only suffer half damage. |
