This spell causes affected undead to lose track of and ignore the warded creatures for the duration of the spell. Undead of level 4 or less, as well as most mindless undead regardless of level (e.g., zombies and skeletons), are automatically affected, but those of higher level receive a magic save to avoid the effect. Note that a priest protected by this spell cannot turn affected undead. If a protected person makes an attack, the effect ends for them only, even if they are still within the 10 foot radius effect of the spell. Casting spells such as cure light wounds, augury, or chant does not end the ward.
