By means of this ritual, which takes 5 hours to cast, the cleric is able to contact a hero or group of heroes to perform a quest or deed. The ritual does not allow the cleric to specify exactly who will be summoned though the contacted heroes will be of like morals and generally suited for the quest. The quest must be outlined in the casting of the ritual. The ritual will fail automatically if the desired quest is superfluous or something that could easily be accomplished with existing assets. The GM is the final arbiter of whether this ritual will be successful and who will be contacted.

The contacted heroes will receive a vision or dream concerning the vague outlines of the quest and will understand that they are being asked to help. If any of the contacted heroes agree to undertake the quest, all of the heroes are summoned to the cleric's presence.

The GM should feel free to role play this out and add details. For example, if the ritual is targeted at a subset of the adventurers who agree to the quest and disappear, maybe someone else in the group will receive a vision or dream of one of the summoned heroes telling them that they have accepted a dream quest and will rejoin the group when it is complete. In the meantime, the group should continue on their way. Since this is powerful holy magic, it could be that the summoned heroes will magically rejoin the group at a later time even if the group has moved on. Or maybe they must find the group on their own when the quest is complete. The GM can run this however he chooses.
