This spell causes a prisoner of the paladin's to fall unconscious. In order for this spell to work, the target must have voluntarily surrendered to the paladin, or someone in the company of the paladin, within the past 10 rounds. This time increases by 2 rounds per level.

The effect lasts for 3 rounds per level. During this time, the prisoner can be awakened at any time by shaking or even loud noises. For all practical purposes, the spell puts them into a normal state of sleep. The paladin can affect 1 target per 2 levels, or fraction thereof.

If the prisoner clearly surrendered on their own volition to the paladin, or someone in the company of the paladin, they get no saving throw. If there is any doubt, the GM may allow a (mental) saving throw versus this effect.
