This spell causes an instantaneous flash of very bright light. Against most creatures that rely on vision, the spell will blind them for 2d4 rounds. This duration is reduced to 1d4 rounds with a successful Normal Save, which indicates that the target successfully shut his eyes or turned away from the flash. Critical or Grievous success on the save indicates no effect.

Undead creatures in the area of effect of a Light Eruption suffer damage as if a fireball had gone off. Damage is 1d6 damage per rank of the caster (maximum of 10d6 at rank 10) or half if a magic save is made.

The Light Eruption produces a flash that is bright enough to be seen from several miles away.
