This spell is similar to the 3rd level Prayer spell but the effects are greater and it can be cast at range.
By means of this spell, the priest brings special favor upon a targeted group and causes harm to the enemies of that group. Those in the area at the instant the spell is completed are affected for the duration of the spell. When the spell is completed, all Strike Chances and Saving Throws made by those in the area of effect who are friendly to the priest gain +10 bonuses. Defense is increased by 10, to a maximum of DEF 80 (i.e., if DEF is already 80 or higher, there is no benefit but if DEF is less than 80 the spell benefits by increasing DEF by 10, to a max of 80). Damage is increased by +2 to a maximum of +8 (i.e., if Dmg bonus due to STR, Rank, magic weapons, etc., is already +8 or higher, there is no benefit). Protection is increased by 2 to a maximum of PROT 8 (i.e., if PROT is already 8 or higher, there is no benefit).
This spell does not "stack" with Bless, Chant, Prayer or another Greater Prayer.
The priest needs a silver holy symbol, prayer beads, or a similar device as the material component of this spell. |
