Cause Critical Wounds, the reverse of the Cure Critical Wounds spell, operates similarly to the Cause Serious Wounds spell, the victim having to be touched first. If the touch is successful, 4d8+4 points of damage is inflicted. Also, there is a 2% chance per point of damage inflicted that the wound also causes a grievous wound (use the Slash table).
This spell works only on living creatures. It does not work on undead, golems, plants or other non-living creatures.
This spell can be cast while in melee combat using Unarmed Combat rules. If the cleric fails to touch the target, the spell is not cast. |
