The mage may bind the element of earth to create an intelligent elemental force. It takes an hour to perform the ritual. It may not be resisted unless the area contains an already existing Earth Elemental (who may both actively and passively resist).
The bound Earth can be shaped by the mage who bound it into any desired form. The higher the rank of the caster the greater the results of the ritual. For example, whereas at rank 1, the mage could create a elemental which he would have to guide at every turn, at rank 10 the same creature might be endowed with free will, but would be loyal to the purposes of the mage. The ritual cannot be resisted except by an intelligent being composed of Earth. If this ritual backfires, an earthquake results. The higher the rank, the more powerful and widespread the earthquake. |
