This spell has four very different effects depending on the type (air, earth, fire or water). Note that any elemental mage can cast any type of elemental aura. No more than one type of elemental aura can be in effect on a given target at one time. The wizard initially casts this spell on themselves but may then confer a lesser elemental aura to 2 additional targets, plus one more per rank.

Air
  • Immune to gas and cold-based attacks.

Fire

For all practical purposes, the various "Sense Through..." abilities allow the characters to use their normal ranged senses of sight, hearing and smell. Maximum range is indicated but is never more than what would be normal in the prime material plane. For example, most people's sense of smell is very short ranged.

The spells that can be cast with automatic success are considered to be rank 10 unless the mage knows the spell and it is ranked higher than 10, in which case, the mage's rank with the spell is used. In any case, no cast roll is made as the spell automatically succeeds. This also means there is no chance of critical or grievous success.
