Mages of the College of Disenchanting Magics are able to hit creatures that require magic weapons to hit even if they do not have a magic weapon. For every strike against such a creature roll percentile dice and, if the roll is less than the number needed, no magic weapon is required.

Requires +1 or better: MA + (Rank x 5)
Requires +2 or better: MA + (Rank x 4)
Requires +3 or better: MA + (Rank x 3)
Requires +4 or better: MA + (Rank x 2)
Requires +5 or better: MA + Rank

For example, Delana is rank 7 with this talent and is armed with a non-magical quarterstaff. Her MA is 23. She is being attacked by a wererat, which requires a +1 or better weapon to hit. MA + (Rank x 5) = 58. Every time she attacks, there is a 58% chance that her quarterstaff can harm the creature (though she still needs to roll to hit).

If the mage is using a magic weapon, but it is not strong enough to affect the particular creature, use the row that reflects the difference the weapon being used and the weapon needed.

For example, Delana is rank 7 with this talent. Her MA is 23. She is attacking a flesh golem, which requires a +2 or better weapon to hit. She throws her non-magical war harmmer at the creature and, if she rolls a 51 or less (MA + (rank x 4)), the weapon can damage the creature. She then closes and attacks with her +1 morning star. The magic of the morning star is one less than needed, so she uses the difference and can damage it if she rolls a 58 or less (MA + (rank x 5)).
