This Special Knowledge ritual is used to invest a specially prepared item (Lycanthrope teeth, etc.) with a spell. If successful, the mage can cast one spell into the item. The spell can then be used by anyone to whom the mage entrusts with the power word to activate the item.
The specially prepared item can be purchased from a magic shop in a major city, usually for about 1000 sp each. The mage who cast the spell can discharge the spell and then reuse the item for another investment ritual. Alternately, he can give the item to someone else, together with the power word to trigger it, but when the spell is triggered by someone other than the mage who cast it, the item is destroyed and cannot be re-enchanted. |
