The adept may cast a bolt of anti-magic at a magical construct that will inflict a 1d6 damage per rank of spell (1d6 at rank 1, 2d6 at rank 2, 3d6 at rank 3, etc.). The mage may choose to sacrifice damage to extend the range. By sacrificing one die of damage, the range is doubled. By sacrificing two dice of damage, the range is tripled, and so forth Thus, a rank 10 mage can fire a 10d6 bolt at a target up to 100 feet away, a 9d6 bolt at a target up to 200 feet away, an 8d6 bolt at a target up to 300 feet away, etc.
This spell is only effective against magical constructs. If affects gargoyles, golems, homonculi, skeletons and zombies. |
