By means of this spell, the mage is able to assume the form of a small living tree or shrub. Although the closest inspection will not reveal that this plant is actually the mage, and for all normal tests he is, in fact, a tree or shrub, the mage is able to observe all that goes on around him just as if he were in human form. The spell caster may change back and forth from tree to human form at any time, although each transformation takes one round. Armour protection in tree form is 5 (+1 per 3 ranks). While in tree form, the mage is immune to cold and lightning, but suffers normal damage from fire. Note that all clothing and gear worn/carried change with the mage.
