The mage, upon making the first pact, gains certain knowledge of alchemy. Among the specific benefits accruing to the mage are the following:

A. The ability to distill venom’s from such plants as belladonna.

B. The ability to distill a dose of a potion of toad sweat that will remove blemishes, warts, corns, pimples, etc., at the rate of 1 disfigurement per dose. Each potion costs 100 SP to make and can be made with common components. The base chance of effectively preparing it is 60%

C. The ability to make these amulets (number in parentheses indicates minimum rank required to make):

1. Amulet of Elder Flowers(1) Makes the wearer proof Against the evil eye. cost 500 SP

2. Amulet of Hypercium(2) Increases the wearer's magic save by +2 to any magical act performed by a demon. Cost 1000SP

3. Amulet of luck(3) Made from tigers or alligators teeth, it increases the wearers magic save by +1% per rank. Cost 1000 SP per rank.

4. Amulet of Betony(4) Decreases the base chance of infection by 5%. Cost 6500 SP

5. Amulet of diamonds(5) Increases the wearers strike chance by +1 per every 2 ranks cost 1000 SP per rank

6. Amulet of Bloodstone(6) Prevents miscarriage and decreases base chance of infection by 10. Cost 10000 SP

7. Amulet of jade(7) No lesser Undead will willingly approach the wearer in most cases. Cost 5000 SP

8. Amulet of amethyst(8) Wards bad dreams and assists the wearer in getting a restful sleep. Increases wearers spell point recovery by 2 points per hour while sleeping. Cost 7000 SP

9. Amulet of Jet(9) No demon will willingly come within 10 feet of wearer in most cases. Cost 6000 SP

10. Amulet of Aquilaeus(10) The wearer subtracts 10 from all rolls on the fright table. Cost 3000 SP

11. Amulet of Beryl(11) Increases the wearers ability to detect traps and ambushes by 5%. Cost 5000 SP

12. Amulet of Carbuncle(12) Decreases damage done by poison by 1 point per rank. Cost 12000 SP

13. Amulet of Iron(13) No lesser demon will willingly attack wearer in most cases. Cost 2500 SP

149. Amulet of Alectorius(15) Made from the corpse of a black cock which has been cured on a anthill for three days, this amulet will increase the value of treasure found by the wearer by 3%. cost 6000 SP

The "cost" is the cost of the materials necessary to manufacture the amulet. Each amulet requires 25 - makers level days to make once the necessary materials have been gathered or purchased. A person can only wear one amulet at a time. It takes 25 days for an amulet to have a chance to attune to a person.

D. The ability to distill from a variety of substances, a Love Philter, which will cause the imbiber to fall in love with the first entity of whom he or she sets eyes on after drinking it(regardless of race or sex). The base chance to prepare the Philter is 30%(+3% per rank). The cost of the materials will average 600SP. The effects of the substance will last for 1 week.(+1 week per rank).

E. The ability to distill from a variety of substances a potion of fertility that increases the chance of conception by 5%(+5% per rank). It has a base chance of 30% of working and may be saved against by the imbiber. The effects last for 1 day. The cost of this potion is 100SP.
