For each rank with this spell, the wizard increases in size by 1 foot. Normal clothing as well as non-metal armor and weapons can also increase in size at the wizard's option. It is up to the GM whether non-metal magic armor and weapons will change size. The effects of the growth include:
  • Weight is multiplied by rank (x1.5 at rank 1).
  • +2 Hit Points per rank
  • Base damage, dice only, for target's weapon, if also affected by the Growth spell, is increased by 50% every 4 ranks (round down). Thus, if the wizard is wielding a quarterstaff (base damage of 1d8+1), damage increases to 1d12+1 at rank 4, 2d8+1 at rank 8, 2d10+1 at rank 12, 3d8+1 at rank 16 and 3d10+1 at rank 20 and higher. The easiest way to compute this is to take the high end of the die, 8 in this example, and multiply by 1.5 at rank 4 and come up with the closest dice equivalent. Multiply by 2 at rank 8, 2.5 at rank 12, 3 at rank 16 and 3.5 at rank 20 and higher.
  • +1 foot of reach per 3 ranks
  • Increased TMR based on height. See Potion of Growth for bonus based on height.

Note that the character's strength remains sufficient to support their larger body, but they do not gain any bonus to strength for the purposes of causing more damage in combat.
