This spell allows the mage to heal a living target. The amount of healing is determined by rank, as indicated below.
Rank | Healing | Notes |
1-2 | 1 point | Will also stabilize a dying target. |
3 | 1d3 points | |
4-5 | 1d4 points | |
6-7 | 1d6 points | |
8-9 | 1d8 points | |
10-11 | 2d6 points | |
12-18 | 2d8 points | Equivalent to a clerical Cure Light Wounds |
19-21 | 3d8+2 | Equivalent to a clerical Cure Serious Wounds |
22 | 4d8+4 | Equivalent to a clerical Cure Critical Wounds |
* | All | Equivalent to a clerical Heal spell |
The amount healed is reduced with additional castings of the spell on the same person during the same day. For each additional Healing spell cast on the same person in the same day, drop one level on the chart. For example, if a rank 12 mage casts this spell on Derrick, he is healed 2d8 hit points. If, a short time later during the same day, the mage casts this spell on Derrick again, he is only healed 2d6 points. A third use of the spell on Derrick during the same day would only heal 1d8 points, and so on.
If critical success is rolled, an additional 1d4 points of damage are healed. If grievous success is rolled, then the level of healing is increased by one level (or +1d4 healing, whichever is better). This is the only way that all hit points can be healed by a single casting of this spell (i.e., a rank 22 caster rolls grievous success). |
