By means of this spell the mage is able to summon certain woodland creatures to his location. Naturally, this spell will only work outdoors, but not necessarily only in wooded areas. The mage begins the incantation, and the spell must be continued uninterrupted until some called creature appears or 20 minutes have elapsed. Examples of creatures that may be affected by this spell are brownies, centaurs, dryads, pixies, satyrs, sprites, treeherds, unicorns, or any other type of fairie or woodland creature. The DM will determine whether any eligible creatures are within the range of the spell and how many will answer the summons. The creature(s) called are entitled to a magic save to avoid the summons. Summon creatures retain their own free will and may choose to aid the caster or not. |
