This spell causes a cloud of acid to form within spell range. The cloud is 10 feet in diameter per rank. Everyone inside the cloud suffers 5d8 (+2d8 per rank) of acid damage each round they are in the cloud, or half if a normal save is made. If the save is failed, anything worn or carried must also make a save vs acid. The cloud has a noxious odor and is yellowish green in color. The vision of those inside the cloud is limited to 5 feet.
If cast in an enclosed area, such as a dungeon, the cloud will only not expand beyond barriers that can't be destroyed. For example, if cast in a 30 foot square room with closed doors, but a rank 5 caster (normally 50 foot diameter), the room will be filled with the cloud but will only expand once the acid has destroyed the door or doors. In any case, it will not expand beyond 50 feet from the spell's center. The doors must make a save each round. |
