This magical ritual allows the Battle Mage to apply other spell bonuses to multiple targets. This ritual can be used in conjunction with Boomerang, Magic Weapon, Magic Shield, Magic Armor or True Shot. The mage can affect 5 targets (weapons, shields, suits of armor, etc.) plus 2 additional targets per rank (50 at rank 22). The duration of the effect is 1 hour, plus an additional 20 minutes per rank with this ritual. The bonus granted is based on the mage's rank with the associated spell.
To perform this ritual, the mage draws a circle in the ground that encompasses all of the targets and their wielders/wearers. The ritual takes 1 hour to perform at the end of which the associated spell is applied for the duration of this ritual (not the duration of the associated spell).
Examples based on rank 6 with this ritual (3 hour duration, 17 targets):
Rank 8 with Boomerang - 17 targets can throw a specified weapon (the one they are holding when the ritual is cast) and it will return after hitting or missing the target. Each wielder can throw their weapon up to 8 times over the course of 3 hours, starting when the ritual is completed.
Rank 7 with Magic Weapon - 17 targets have one of their weapons enchanted to +1 for 3 hours.
Rank 14 with Magic Shield - 17 targets have their shields enchanted to +2 for 3 hours. |
