By means of a read magic spell, the wizard is able to read magical inscriptions on objects--books, scrolls, weapons, and the like--that would otherwise be totally unintelligible. This deciphering does not normally invoke the magic contained in the writing, although it may do so in the case of a cursed scroll.
This spell is most often used by mages to read magical scrolls that are written in languages in which they are unskilled. The chance of successfully reading a scroll using this spell is 100%. Unless otherwise indicated, one magical scroll can be read per round.
