The caster projects a flaming web, similar to a spider web in construction, from his fingertips at a target (hex or object or character). Any objects or entities standing between the caster and the target, within the 5 ft width of the web, are ensnared by the web along with the target unless they save. Any characters who do not save suffer a 1d4 damage per three ranks each round that the web is burning. The web continues to burn until cut or until the flames are extinguished. The web may only target a number of characters equal to the rank of the caster. Characters who save suffer only half damage (round up). Individuals ensnared in the web suffer no damage on the first round they are ensnared.

To break free, the ensnared character must make a STR x 2 roll, minus 1 per rank. They may make one attempt per round. Alternately someone not ensnared by the fiery webs can attempt to cut someone free. An edged weapon must be used to cause a total of 10 + rank damage to the web to free one person.
