The caster creates a circular opening or tunnel 10 feet in diameter and 20 feet deep in a wall, ceiling, floor, ground surface, cliff face, etc. The caster may add 3 feet to either the depth or radius per rank. This is a VERY noisy spell. The rocks and dirt from the excavated area fly out of the area of effect and pile up behind the mage casting the spell.
This spell takes 2 rounds per rank to cast as the mage must stand in front of the area being tunnelled and control the area of the magical "drill". None of the flying debris will hit the mage but anyone else will suffer 2d6 (+1 per rank) damage each round from flying debris. This damage is reduced by armor protection. This damage applies to all targets in front of, and within 30 feet of the entrance to the newly forming tunnel. |
