The mage has the ability to see at night with the same vision (near perfect) as a cat. However, everything will appear monochromatic and somewhat distorted (geometrical). The higher the rank the less distorted the vision will be. Although this vision is similar to ultravision, it works underground in complete darkness. Maximum range is 5 feet per rank but anything beyond half of maximum range is somewhat indistinct such that the mage will not be able to identify it beyond general class (large humanoid, small quadraped). At half range or less, the mage can attempt a skill roll at ((PER - 15) x 3) + (Rank x 5) to identify heat sources they see.
At rank 11, the mage can use this talent to see through magical darkness spells. Range is 5 feet, plus 1 foot per rank above 10th. At half range or less, the mage can attempt a skill roll (as above) to identify a specific person or make out details of an object enough to tell two similar objects or people apart. Range is doubled if the darkness was created by the mage using this talent. |
